Pennsylvania cops have recorded kidnapping charges against a lady they state drove off with a baby throughout the end of the week, setting off an Amber Alert.
Nalani Johnson, who turns 2 this month, was accounted for grabbed in Penn Hills on Saturday, police said.
The Amber Alert said Nalani was snatched by 25-year-old Sharena Nancy.
The tyke's dad, Paul Johnson, told cops Nancy, depicted as a jitney driver, took his little girl after she gave them a ride, as indicated by reports. He said Nancy dashed away with Nalani and Nalani's vehicle situate, leaving him and a companion behind.
Nancy was captured later Saturday, police said.
"Whenever Ms. Nancy was ceased by the Penn Hills Police on Saturday night following the snatching of Nalani, the vehicle seat was not situated inside the vehicle," Allegheny County police said Monday.
Nalani stays missing and the FBI is aiding the hunt.
The Pocono Record cited a criminal objection as saying that Nancy claimed during a meeting with cops that Johnson sold his girl for $10,000.
The objection said Nancy disclosed to her questioners that Johnson trained her to drive Nalani to a lady who might take her.
Johnson on Monday denied the claims and declined to remark further, the paper revealed.
Nancy is being hung on charges of hijacking of a minor, custodial impedance and covering of the whereabouts of a youngster.
No lawyer was recorded in court archives for Nancy, and a recorded number for her couldn't be discovered, the Associated Press revealed.
